The enchanted Mortar helped people very much. When the people in this barangay put palay in the mortar without using pestle, the palay would readily turn into a clean rice. So, from far and near who would like to have clean rice out of their palay would say in the dialect &#8220;Moadto to sa &#8220;LUZONG&#8221;. As time went on the name &#8220;LUZONG&#8221; has been adopted to name the place.
